Terms of Service

Effective date: June 16, 2026

Template notice: this is a working draft to be reviewed and finalized by eScience Corporation (and counsel) before relying on it. Replace bracketed items.

These Terms govern your use of the Daybook AI mobile application (“the app”), published by eScience Corporation (“we”, “us”). By installing or using the app, you agree to these Terms.

1. The app and your licence

We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to install and use the app on devices you own or control, for your own personal use, subject to these Terms and the rules of the app store you obtained it from.

2. No account; your data stays on your device

The app has no account and no server. Your calendar, contacts, notes and other content are processed and stored on your own device and the system stores and accounts it connects to. Our handling of data is described in our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these Terms.

3. Third-party services you choose to use

If you connect a calendar account (e.g. Google) or supply your own AI provider key, your use of those services is governed by those providers’ own terms. Requests you initiate go directly from your device to that provider; we are not a party to them.

4. Acceptable use

Don’t use the app unlawfully, or attempt to reverse engineer, resell, or interfere with it except to the extent permitted by law.

5. The app is provided “as is”

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the app is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind. We do not warrant that it will be uninterrupted or error-free, and you are responsible for keeping your own backups of important information.

6. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, eScience Corporation will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for loss of data, arising from your use of the app.

7. Changes

We may update these Terms; the current version will always be posted here. Continued use after a change means you accept the updated Terms.

8. Governing law

[Governing law / jurisdiction — to be set by eScience Corporation.]
